MTO / CVOR Offences
The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) utilizes the CVOR system (Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration) to track and enforce the safe operation of commercial vehicles. Some offenses carry demerit points as well as CVOR points.
Accidents, vehicle detainments, or violations can result in MTO involvement. The Ministry of Transportation can order a Facility Audit of the commercial premises to examine safety records, log books, and vehicle maintenance. A failed audit may lead to any number of penalties, including confiscation of vehicle plates, restriction of your commercial fleet, or even business closure.
